Fruit and nut map

This is a nice idea.  A google map that you can edit, to plot the locations of trees which overhang public areas in South London, which bear edible fruit and nuts.

Permission often needs to be obtained, but it’s a very good starting point.  I’m going pear picking on a nearby road this week, now I just need a few ideas on what to do with a surfeit of pears…

  1. No problem! The pear tree isn’t in a public place so I can’t put it on the map I’m afraid, but I think the details are still on the Project Dirt website if anyone’s interested.

  2. Hi Rach
My girlfriend has a great (and easy) pear cake recipe from her French grandmother… remind me, I’ll dig it out!
    All the best
    Nick

  3. Oh no! The map doesn’t work for me, I even tried the link that is in the project dirt site. Boo Hiss.

I wanted to pick some balckberries.

  4. pickled pears with ginger – no idea how nice they’ll be….. but worth a try
